6 Best Exercises to Lose Weight: Jogging is the Best against Obesity

Obesity or overweight is due to fat accumulation that can cause risks to health. People who are prone to obesity can gain weight due to obese genes.
Researchers examines the effect of 18 different exercises on people living with high genetic risks of developing obese.
Wan-Yu Lin of the National Taiwan University in Taipei City found the 6 exercises that can counteract the higher genetic predisposition to obesity.
The author and colleagues examined the 18424 “Unrelated Han Chinese Adults” aged between 30 and 70. They examined whether they were engaged in any kind of exercise and if they did, what type of exercise they preferred.
Then researchers examined that genes, which were the main risk factor of obesity. After that scientist found which exercises can nullify the risks.
The team used five obesity measurements including body mass index or BMI, body fat percentage, waist to hip ratio, waist circumference and hip circumference.
In the conclusion, people who were engaged in any kind of exercise reported lower BMI than people who were not engaged in any type of exercise.
Specifically, Jogging was revealed as best workout to counteract the genes of obesity. This is because people who jog daily tend to have lower BMI, lower body fat percentage, smaller hip and waist circumference
Inspite of jogging, five other exercises were also proved to lose weight: Mountain climbing, walking, exercise walking, dancing and regularly yoga asanas.
Interestingly, some exercises failed to counteract the high risks of obesity. These include swimming, cycling, stretching exercise, and dance dance revolution.
Additionally, other outdoor games, such as badminton, tennis, table tennis, tai-chi, and basketball were also ineffective to offset the risks of obesity.
